GOSS: The cream of the racing fraternity graced a cocktail party at the Sheraton Mirage to celebrate the four-day Magic Millions yearling sale (owned by John Singleton and Gerry Harvey). Think those who are happy to drop zillions of gees on a gee-gee that may never win a race! Man-about-town Dean Fleming was there (he's married to Analisa Hegyesi, with "connections" to the late Ferdinand Marcos), as was Kate Waterhouse (who brought old mate Tim Holmes a Court). Katie Davenport was the first filly to hit the dance floor, while face of the carnival Giaan Rooney was dripping with Paspaley pearls. Memorable Gold Coast fashion moment: Ziad Gazal, when complimented by racing PR chick Rose Swarbrick on his pink shirt, turned and said, "This isn't pink. It's bleach-peach." CC
